Salmon Jerky Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 c. beer
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • Tabasco (optional)
  • 1 Tb. pepper
  • 1 Tb. Worcestershire sauce

Directions:

  1. Cut meat about an inch wide.
  2. Marinate for 3 hours, covered in the fridge.
  3. Place on smoker in or out of foil to your preference. Enjoy!

    I made this the other night. I don’t have a smoker so I added some liquid smoke and used the oven, Absolutely delicious!

    Came out okay. Nothing special. Used some white wine instead of the beer. I’m going to stick with Red meat from now on.

    Not too helpful. Every other recipie said to soak it for 8-10 hours and dry or smoke for 8 to 10 hours, how long do you dry the salmon in this recipie?

    I did rainbow and german browns in a Brinkman electric at 175..just check it after the 2nd hour or so, keep checking until its to your liking. I like mine plyable and chewy, not crispy so I did skin side down for just under 3 hours on top rack.
