White-Tail Deer Jerky Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 6 lbs ground venison
  • 1 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 1 1/2 tsp. ground cardamom
  • 1 1/2 tsp. curing salt
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 2 tsp. pepper
  • 3 tsp. accent seasoning
  • 8 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tb. liquid smoke

Directions:

  1. Make your meat strips.
  2. Combine ingredients.
  3. Marinate, covered, in fridge for 3 days.
  4. Place in dehydrator and enjoy!

    Hello

    Im wanting to make gifts for xmas. Ive looked at many recipes. I see a lot of them call for msg, accept etc mortons meat tender–all have msg and bad things. I wanted to know why? If the meat is supp to be good on its own & they serve no ”preservative” function why are they added?
