BBQ Beef Jerky Recipe


  • 1 1/2 lb. beef – round or flank (or any meat type)
  • 1/3 c. red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. ketchup
  • 1/4 tsp. red cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp. onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • Vegetable cooking spray


  1. Trim fat and cut meat into 1/4″ thick strips.
  2. Combine ingredients together in a large bowl and coat each strip.
  3. Cover and place in refrigerator to marinate as long as you’d like.
  4. Take out, rinse off and pat dry with paper towels.
  5. Lay out foil on top of the oven racks and set oven on lowest temp.
  6. When oven is ready, place meat strips right on top of the foil, keep oven door propped open and turn meat over after a couple of hours. Cook meat to your preference, check often and cook til pliable. Enjoy!

    Tried it; loved it. Just be careful with the dry mustard.

    Save yourself a lot of trouble. marinate with 2 large bottles of Sweet Baby Rays Award Winning BBQ Sauce,1 1/2 tsp regular mustard. 1 1/2 tsp of Tony Chaceres Creole Seasoning – cook at low temp until the beef gets stiff depending on how you want it

    save yourself a lot of trouble. Marinate for a day in 2 large bottles of Sweet Baby Rays award Winning BBQ Sauce, 1 1/2 tsp of Tony Chacheries Creole Seasoning, 1/2 cup of red wine and cook in low temp to stiff or your preference – ummm good and quick to fix

    Sweet baby rays jerky recipe: 2 pounds beef sliced, 1/2 cup soy sauce,1/2 cup water,1/2 cup sweet baby rays bbq sauce (any flavor),6 TBLS brown sugar,1/4 tsp salt,1/4 tsp pepper,1/4 tsp onion powder,1/4 tsp prague powder (optional)
