Patriot’s Buffalo Jerky Recipe


  • 3 pounds of meat
  • 3 bay leaves, broken into pieces
  • 2 teaspoons of liquid smoke
  • 1/4 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon of seasoned salt
  • 1/2 cup of lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup of drained onions
  • 1/4 cup of brown sugar


  1. Combine ingredients and pour over meat strips.
  2. Cover and refrigerate overnight.
  3. Remove and pat dry on paper towels.
  4. Place in a 150 degree oven for at least 12 hours.
  5. Turn over once during the drying.
  6. The oven door should be left open just a little to allow the moisture to flow freely.
